The Women’s Race / Kona Giveaway details & more!

The Women’s Race

Empowering women through endurance sport.

Welcome to The Women’s Race newsletter. I’m so glad you’re here.

Well, I have decided not to make the trip to Nice for the 70.3 World Championships. Recovery has gone very well since Ironman Kalmar, however, the logistics of another European trip, combined with family life (hello start of school and insane fall kids sports schedules!) AND my run fitness needing a bit of attention, I need to make the smarter choice and stay home to train. It’s so, SO hard to miss out on these fun championship race weeks and all the hype, but I want to show up to Kona in my best possible shape and headspace. With that in mind, we have officially entered the countdown to Kona!!

Here at The Women’s Race I’ve launched a giveaway series where with entry (link below), you’ll be entered each week to win some awesome prizes from my sponsors, including gear and gift cards from: Zoot, Garmin, Raw, Blue Seventy and more!! I’m so excited to share some of this with you all along with the awesome Kona-bound women we will have on each week as well. It’s going to be lots of fun.

Read on for what’s happening on this week’s pod, some things I’m thinking about, and more from The Women’s Race

What we are loving right now:

This weeks pod

This week I got to chat with ANOTHER super swimmer and super human Marta Sanchez. Marta is a Spanish pro who definitely found her niche in the Ironman distance. I got to catch up with her nearing the end of a camp up in the mountains. Hope you enjoy!

Road to Kona Giveaway

Just one entry and you’ll be entered for all of them! Hope you win!!

MOVE+ delivers 660nm and 808nm wavelengths deep into the joint, stimulating cellular repair, reducing inflammation and improving circulation to the areas that need it most.

I am using this daily - highly recommend!

The Women’s Race Empowering women through endurance sport. Hellooooo from Kona!! 🌺 I made it to Kona on Tuesday after smooth travels and am getting settled in. It feels like the calm before the storm that is race week. There are definitely quite a few triathletes here already - many, many pros…but nothing compared to what it will be like next week! For now, I’m enjoying getting used to the weather, settling into the island and trying not to overdo it. I’ll be staying the next few days with...

The Women’s Race Empowering women through endurance sport. Hey everyone! Time is flying now… we’re nearly two weeks from Kona!! 🌺 The weather took a turn here in Wisconsin this week and it is officially feeling like fall… cool temps, rain, and definitely not enough warmth and sunshine to be prepping for Kona! Luckily I only have to get through this weekend before heading out to the big Island! I’ll be heading to Kona on Tuesday, which means things are getting very real around here. The...

The Women’s Race Empowering women through endurance sport. Another week has come and gone...hope it was a good one!! I have to say, I'm truly enjoying Kona training lately. This week I've felt my run fitness finally return and even surprised myself at track this week during a 5x 1 mile descend workout where I was able to get down to my fastest mile of the year, YAY! Considering everything I've been doing both in and out of training, and most importantly how the effort felt, things are...
