The Women’s Race / Kona Giveaway & 70.3 Worlds!

The Women’s Race

Empowering women through endurance sport.

Welcome to The Women’s Race newsletter. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m getting into some deep Kona training, kids school and sports, but Mark is home from his big hunting trip out west so life feels slightly more sustainable :) Although it’s not leaving too many spare brain cells for writing…hope you understand!

The Road to Kona giveaway series is going strong!! Each week you are entered to win some awesome prizes from my sponsors, including gear and gift cards from: Zoot (Week 1 winner announced below!), Garmin, Raw, Blue Seventy and more!! I’m so excited to share some of this with you all along with the awesome Kona-bound women we will have on each week as well. It’s going to be lots of fun.

Read on for what’s happening on this week’s pod, some things I’m thinking about, and more from The Women’s Race

70.3 Worlds Hype and FOMO?!

Yep. I have FOMO for sure and no doubt will be losing some sleep following the races since they will be going on in the middle of the night for us here in the US. I made my picks on the pod, and possibly totally screwed up, but if we’ve learned anything over the years watching triathlon, ANYTHING can happen!! And with the timing and Kona it will be interesting to see if anyone can pull it both off!

Thank you for being here and for believing in what we’re building together. If you enjoy this newsletter, I’d love for you to share it with a friend who could use a little encouragement on her own journey.

See you next Friday,

Jackie

For now, I’m enjoying getting used to the weather, settling into the island and trying not to overdo it. I’ll be staying the next few days with...

The Women’s Race Empowering women through endurance sport. Hey everyone! Time is flying now… we’re nearly two weeks from Kona!! 🌺 The weather took a turn here in Wisconsin this week and it is officially feeling like fall… cool temps, rain, and definitely not enough warmth and sunshine to be prepping for Kona! Luckily I only have to get through this weekend before heading out to the big Island! I’ll be heading to Kona on Tuesday, which means things are getting very real around here. The...

The Women’s Race Empowering women through endurance sport. Another week has come and gone...hope it was a good one!! I have to say, I'm truly enjoying Kona training lately. This week I've felt my run fitness finally return and even surprised myself at track this week during a 5x 1 mile descend workout where I was able to get down to my fastest mile of the year, YAY! Considering everything I've been doing both in and out of training, and most importantly how the effort felt, things are...
